COMPLAINTS
 

We want to give you the best possible service. However, if at any point you become unhappy or concerned about the service, we have provided then you should inform us immediately, so that we can do our best to resolve the problem.

 

We will use your feedback to address our concerns and improve our standards in the future.

 

In the first instance it may be helpful to contact the person who is working on your case to discuss your concerns, we will do our best to resolve any issues. If you wish to make a formal complaint then you can read our full complaints policy and procedure by clicking on the link below.

 

Making a complaint will not affect how we handle your case.

 

What to do if we cannot resolve your complaint

 

The Legal Ombudsman can be contacted if we are unable to resolve your complaint. They will investigate your complaint independently and it will not affect how we handle your case.

 

The Legal Ombudsman will check with you to see if you have tried to resolve your complaint with us first. If you have, then you must make your complaint to the Legal Ombudsman:

On the 1st April 2023, the time limits for referring a complaint to the Legal Ombudsman were introduced, these will be no later than:

  • One year from the date, act or omission being complained about; or

  • One year from the date when the complainant should have realised that there was a cause for complaint.

What to do if you are unhappy with our behaviour

You have the right to complain to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) If you feel that either Nigel or Alex Weller have acted or behaved in an inappropriate manner, this could include:

  1. tell lies

  2. steal from you.

  3. Shut down without telling you.

  4. Break the SRA rules regarding the code of conduct of Solicitors.

  5. Otherwise fail to meet the required standards.
